# Girder

> Self-hosted PaaS for deploying AI-built apps to your own server. One Go binary: git-push deploys, Postgres/Redis/S3, domains, TLS, backups, and rollbacks on infrastructure you own.

Girder sits between AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, and similar) and production. You push to Girder’s built-in git server; it builds, deploys, and keeps ops on your VPS. There is no hosted multi-tenant control plane and no usage-metered cloud bill for the platform itself.

- One static Linux binary (system service), Docker as the only runtime dependency
- Git push to deploy (pre-receive build; failed builds reject the push)
- Per-app Postgres, Redis, and S3; domains and Let’s Encrypt TLS
- Nightly backups with restore drills and optional PITR
- Staging and preview environments; deploy pipeline visibility
- MCP server so coding agents can create apps, wire services, and roll back
- Tailscale-first ops plane: only ports 80 and 443 public by design
